A creative meeting inspired by Magtymguly Pyragy
Under the leadership of our dear Arkadag in the prosperous period of our sovereign state, the creativity of our great personality is highly respected who left an indelible mark on Turkmen literature and fine arts. Our great personalities have left a great legacy for our future by creating valuable works in their time. In the works of our personalities who have glorified the name of the Turkmen people patriotic, spiritual, virtuous, pure morality, motherly holiness, humanity, diligence are widely described.
Today, at the urging of our esteemed President, regular meetings on the creativity of Turkmen personalities are of great importance in the development of patriotic, healthy, scientific and educated generations of young people. One of such meetings was held at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture. The meeting was also attended by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Sculpture of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, the National artist of Turkmenistan Saragt Babayev.
At the beginning of his speech our master tutor Saragt Babayev addressed the youth: «It is a sacred concept for the motherland. It sums up each of our past, present and future. Dear youth each of us must love our homeland with our heart and crown our holy land on our heads» he noted. Each of our personalities who have lived in the Turkmen land has left us valuable works.
National Artist of Turkmenistan Ayhan Hajiyev was the first to depict the image of Magtymguly Pyragy. His work has influenced the creativity of many artists. Saragt Babayev tells the story of Magtymguly Pyragy in his creative way. Today, he noted the restoration of a new monument to Magtymguly Pyragy in his work.
The speakers stressed that the poet’s work pays great attention to the theme of patriotism and that his poems contain lines describing heroism, patriotism, loyalty, tradition of hospitality and kindness to parents. They noted that the poet’s senses that beautify the human heart are concentrated. It was also noted that these works were important in shaping the respect for our national heritage in the upbringing of generations.
