An invaluable art
Art is a creative work that creates interests not only for the artist himself, but also for other people. Art is a precious treasure that helps to understand the inner world of humanity, to discover the beauty of nature, to open the thoughts and desires of a person, and to also expand his worldview.
Art is very broad and includes painting, graphics, sculpture, architecture, jewelry, ceramics, design, music, dance, theater, circus, literature and photography. Graphic art is one of the most important and earliest forms of visual art, and it is a form of art that has lasted long time to the present day. Muhammedmurat Gochmyradov deserves a special place in improving of graphic art. His creative path is marked by incredibly complex researches. A master is known as a mosaic artist. The mosaic works created by him makes the state of the beautiful buildings of our country even more beautiful. The artist not only creating the mosaics, but he is also a master of painting and graphics.
Muhammetmyrat Gochmyradov the folk artist of Turkmenistan was born on 1st January, in 1952, in Babadayhan district of Ahal province. The artist received his first education in a village school. He was passionate about drawing from a young age. This led to the discovery of the talent of the future artist and pushed him to the path of art. In 1967-1971, Muhammetmyrat Gochmyradov studies at the painting
department in art school of Ashgabat. The first teacher who trained the young artist was Atajan Ashyrov. During his studies at the art school, he trained under teachers such as Rahym Ishangulyev, Igor Ivanovich Poyda, Bayran Atdayev, Vera Gylliyeva. During 1971-1972, he worked as a font artist at Ashgabat TV. In 1972, he took part in evening art organizations and in 1972 he entered the department of monumental painting at the Nikolai Ostrovsky Institute of Theater and Art in Tashkent. He trains under masters like Ilya Rubin, Igor Limakov, and Nygmat Kuzybaev. After successfully completing his studies in 1977, he became the chief artist of Ashgabat in 1995 ,working in the city hall.
In 1983-1985 Muhammetmyrat Gochmyradov's mosaic works called "Art", "Science", and "Youth" were made with enamel stones, and this project skillfully showed his boundless love for art in his structured works. His works attract the attention of those who see them not only in the territory of our country, but also in the magnificent mosaic made with enamel stones at the Larba railway station in Russia.
In the paintings and graphics of the artist, one can make sure that his creativity is wide enough. We can see Muhammetmyrat Gochmyradov's mainly project-structured works, portraits and still lifes. The graphic works created by him applyied with technical methods such as charcoal, pastel, lithography, tempera, sgraffito, brought the Turkmen graphic art to the global status. In graphic portrait works such as "Portrait of goldenager" (1974), "Portrait of Ilyas" (1974), "Tajik Girl Maksuda" (1975), "Fear" (1976), "Young Man" (1975), "Portrait of Shelton" (1983), "War Veteran" (1982) and in "Portrait of Alexander" (2015), the inner feeling of humanity is revealed in depth.
Muhammetmyrat Gochmyradov's graphic works "The Life of Two People" (1985), "Earthquake" (1985), "Droptop" (1989) are works with a philosophical attitude and wisdom, and are very rich in meaning. In his work "The Life of Two People", he describes a family and the joint fate of two people through two ropes. The bottom of the rope is in the form of a root, and through a narrow passage between the flags, each facing in one direction, the thread is woven upwards. Each of the ropes opens in one direction, to the light. In the context of the work, is described the life journey of two people who came together to form a family. It can be seen that each of the ropes is looking in the different direction are revealed the separate thoughts of two people. The woven yarns are represented by vertical stripes, with black velvet spots, in an appropriate harmony of black and white.
In his work named "Mashgala" (1982), the master describes his everyday life. In this work, the theme of life is revealed through the image of three camels drinking water from a bucket in the scorching heat of the Turkmen desert. One of the camels is shown with its legs folded on its knees and drinking the water in the , while the other one is shown with calf on its chest , looking around with concern. These works have a very rich meaning and express the closeness of the family. The image of elder person, depicted in stone, means a camel herder, where the artist depicts the inseparableness of the animal and human family. The lines create the camel's body structure and the play of light and shadow intertwining. Through these lines, the project structure of the work becomes richer in content. This method connects the Turkmen national character of wisdom, hot desert and human world.
Today, the national artist of Turkmenistan Muhammedyrat Gochmyradov contributes to the development of our national art by creating valuable works that meet the requirements of the time. In recent days, an exhibition of his creations was held in the exhibition hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the master teacher. In this exhibition, the works created by our master teacher in his own creative way left an indelible feeling in people's hearts. The master's works are particularly distinguished by their praise of the Turkmen nationality. In his mosaic works, our national patterns inherited from our ancestors attract the attention of the viewers. We are even more proud that such master artists work among us in the way of development of Turkmen art. We wish our Honored Arkadag and Arkadagly Serdar, who makes opportunities to create such indelible works of art in our happy times, may his soul be healthy, life long and his hard work be blessed!
